New OpportunitiesThe Sunshine Coast Nutcracker offers mentorship opportunities for local young dancers each season. Our guest professional dancers bring a wealth of experience and knowledge while working in collaboration with local studios and instructors. Nutcracker dancers involved in professional development programs at their studios are offered workshops, private classes and mentorship opportunities each season.

A Community EventThe Sunshine Coast Nutcracker is a collective of dance professionals offering opportunities for local dancers to take part in this wonderful tradition.
In addition, there are also opportunities for the collaboration of local artists, technicians, stage managers etc, and the knowledge they can pass on to the next generation. |

As a part of our mission to support and encourage local youth dancers in their studies, the Sunshine Coast Nutcracker provides scholarships which are sponsored by the Sunshine Coast Youth Dance Association (SCYDA). These scholarships are awarded to Nutcracker participants who also performed in at least one group and one solo in the Coastal Dance Festival this spring and were recommended by the festival adjudicators. Congratulations to this season's recipients.
